MOBILE AVERAGE SPEED MEASUREMENT

Our mobile average speed measurement system mSpeedDetV is in-car speed enforcement system based on average speed calculation within a driven distance. The system can record video sequence of  a vehicle which is in front or behind the measuring (patrol) car and analyses video using Artificial Intelligence technology to compare the average speed of this vehicle with own speed of the patrol car. It is working in motion only (measuring car needs to follow the target vehicle while the system helps the driver to keep the same distance at the start and end of the measured section).

HOW IT WORKS

The system measures average speed of a target that drives behind the measuring car or in front of the measuring car within a driven distance. Duration of the measurement is displayed using a horizontal bar on the top of the UI screen. Start of the measurement needs to be selected manually, end of the measurement can be automatic (after pre-configured time period ends). System uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) to detect objects in the picture and to evaluate the measurement. User Interface is accessible on the tablet, mounted on the car dashboard or freely used in the car or even outside of the car.

EXTENSION OF MOBILE SECTION MEASUREMENT BY RADAR

It is possible to install the Doppler radar sensor behind the front mask of the vehicle to add instantaneous speed measurement to the average section based speed measurement. We can also add a camera synchronized with the sensor to capture the measured object.
